Responsibilities:
- Construction observation and/or inspection of construction activities
- Interface with the project team and task managers
- Attend project meetings
- Preform quality assurance and quality control functions to confirm contractor's adherence to the contract documents
- Produce daily reports for active construction contracts
- Issue contract deficiency reports, including follow-up on required corrective actions
- Liaise between contractor, client staff, utility companies, local municipalities, and other external agencies
- Maintain a daily inspection diary documenting construction activity, including environmental events and recording of progress and as constructed details for the purposes of project closeout.
- Review the quality of Contractors work and provide report to client.
- Ensures contract compliance to technical plans and specifications; and reviews documentation and files for accuracy and completeness, including daily reports and construction logs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or equivalent is preferred
- 0-2 years of inspection experience or an interest in inspections and a Construction Management career path.
- Experience with water and sewer lines installation; pump station construction; water / wastewater plant construction is highly preferrable
- Must have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel and management
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
