We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Construction Inspector to join our team. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of construction projects. Your keen attention to detail and strong knowledge of construction practices will contribute to the success of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure adherence to building codes, standards, and specifications
- Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications to identify potential issues or discrepancies
- Follow up on corrective actions and verify that identified issues have been resolved appropriately
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, documenting observations, findings, and recommendations
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to address construction-related issues
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe work environment
- Provide guidance and support to construction teams regarding quality standards and best practices
- Attend progress meetings and communicate inspection outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders
Requirements
- Need 6+ years of experience in construction inspection.
- Experience needed in inspections of construction/re-construction for retail, shopping malls, food courts, restaurants, or other commercial buildings.
- In-depth knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and practices
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in the use of construction inspection tools and technology
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
