Entry Level Therapist Position:
Behavioral Transformations is looking for individuals who possess an interest or have experience working with children with autism and/or other development disabilities. We offer 100% paid training to learn the concepts and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), so you are equipped with the skills needed to increase skills in our clients’ lives. You will be supported by a team of Lead Therapists, Assistant Clinical Supervisors/Supervisor Interns, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), the Clinical Supervisor, and the Clinical Director. We primarily provide services in a clinic setting, but also provide in-home, community, and school services as needed. JOB DUTIES:
· Conduct 1:1 therapy using the principles of ABA to teach skills specific to that child including increasing communication, independent completion of tasks, and social skills.
· Collect data on each teaching opportunity so progress can be recorded and assessed towards long-term goals
· Follow and implement interventions, behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and protocols designed by the BCBA
· Complete documentation and provide parents with a summary of their child’s day
· Communicate frequently with that child’s supervisory team so skills can be advanced
· Maintain client confidentiality
· Attend quarterly staff meetings/trainings
QUALIFICATIONS:
· A passion for children with autism and an eagerness to learn ABA (all training provided!)
· A positive, helpful, reliable, and flexible attitude
· Ability to multi-task, pay close attention to detail, and maintain composure when managing difficult behaviors
· Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree (any subject) preferred
· Reliable transportation and attendance
· Physical duties of the position: ability to stand, kneel, stoop, push, pull, squat, twist, reach overhead, lift at least 20 lbs.
