This position is eligible for remote work withinIowaand will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Position will be filled as either a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Senior Enterprise Reporting Analyst) or Business Intelligence Architect (Enterprise Reporting Architect) based on candidate qualifications and interview evaluation. Position Summary:
University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics department of Health Care Information Systems is seeking an Enterprise Reporting Architect to support the data and analytics needs of the Department of Pediatrics. The Enterprise Reporting Architect at UI Health Care Information Systems is responsible for assisting the transformation of clinical and operational processes by providing analytic insight on areas of improvement to support University of Iowa Health Care. This includes engaging with data stewards and stakeholders to understand workflows and processes to provide accurate, actionable information.
Position Responsibilities
- Execute assigned projects and deliverables to support analytic activities and improvement opportunities aimed at optimizing operational efficiency and quality patient care.
- Coordinate and participate in the planning, definition, design, and implementation of all reports and applications in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders and data stewards.
- Manipulate, analyze, interpret, and summarize data through presentations in order to facilitate decision making for stakeholders and communicate findings of analyses.
- Responsible for data extracts, statistical analyses, data transformations and presentation of analysis utilizing appropriate tools.
- Document all aspects of process when developing analysis including requirements, design, decisions, logic, inclusions, exclusions, and code.

Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Typically 5-7 years of reporting experience
- Working knowledge of SQL with ability to write complex queries and performance tune.
- Proven track record of researching, organizing, analyzing, and synthesizing data to support effective decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams to define system requirements and understand business reporting outcomes.
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as cooperatively with others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong customer service skills
- Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in a work/academic environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Epic certifications(s)
- Experience working with clinical or financial reporting.
- Advanced knowledge of reporting tools (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or other similar tools.)
- Experience working with vendors, interpreting data specifications.
