Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is making a major impact in the cloud industry landscape. We’re looking for top performers/ thoroughbreds with experience in driving sales revenue growth. You will be working with a newly formed business unit hyper-focused on selling the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure product portfolio into media/ streaming, gaming, sports/ esports and gambling industries. Our team members should exhibit curiosity, be proactive by nature, genuinely enjoy complex challenges and share a keen sense of urgency.

Primary job duty is to sell technology software products and related services in a defined territory. Identifies, qualifies and closes new opportunities. Manages accounts including the entire sales process from business development prospecting and specifications through contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support. Leverages the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. Builds and expands business partner revenue and self-sufficiency.

Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. 10 years applicable experience including 7 years of sales experience. Successful sales track record. Ability to penetrate accounts, meet with stakeholders within accounts. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle’s competitors. Interaction with C-level players. Team player with strong interpersonal /communication skills. Excellent communication/negotiating/closing skills with prospects/customers. Travel may be needed. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. [1]

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in selling complex technical solutions into large strategic accounts.

  • Ideally have 3-5 years of experience selling into the media, gaming and sports companies and own a rolodex of well-established technical and business decision-making contacts.

  • Seasoned sales executive with a successful sales track record of exceeding targets, but still receptive to new ideas and growth.

  • Demonstrated track record in developing relationships with C-level decision-makers and influencers including experience in closing large technology and service deals.

  • Must be driven, competitive and a sales thoroughbred, while still open to collaborating with team members.

  • Ability to identify roadblocks/ blockers and successfully navigate through those challenges with finesse.

  • Confidence in challenging the “norm” and articulating your opinion in an influential manner.

  • Naturally inquisitive, with a solid business and technical acumen/analytical skills including pipeline/forecast management and ability to effectively articulate customer's business and key drivers.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present confidently at the executive level, read and control the room.

  • Strong customer advocate and able to negotiate deals where both sides win.

  • Proven ability to manage and own a complex sales process from initial customer contact through product delivery and post-sales support.

  • Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory (mainly Tier 1 accounts).

  • Preferably have a deep knowledge and understanding of the media, gaming and sports tech ecosystem.

  • Develop a consistent and growing revenue stream for products and services within the assigned region.

  • Effectively collaborate with internal partners across the organization to successfully close business by developing customer-centric solutions based on the specific needs of the customer.

  • Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with decision-makers in regional key accounts and gain their trust and respect.

  • Service existing accounts and generate strategic demand in emerging markets by both direct efforts and by utilizing and developing resale and system integration partners to extend sales coverage and promote Oracle solutions.

  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of our products and represent the company and products during key customer presentations and industry events.

  • Develop, lead and report a growing sales pipeline.

  • Accurately forecast sales opportunities on an ongoing basis.

  • Understand the competitor's product and strategy and know-how to sell against the competition.

  • Become a knowledgeable authority in customers’ business, how they operate and be seen as a trust advisor/ thought leader.

Hiring Range: from $110,000 to $185,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 45/55.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
