Duties:
- General ENT procedures and clinics are primary duties. Care is provided for hearing problems, including infections, vertigo, and tinnitus; mouth lesions; tumors of the head and neck; and nasal issues.
- The otolaryngologist is responsible for seeing patients in consultation in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Other duties include responding to telephone calls, informing patients of test/lab results, renewing medication prescriptions, and giving telephone or e-mail advice to other providers.
- Inpatient rounds and on-call will be required when the otolaryngologist admits patients to the medical center.
- Responsible for entering accurate, complete, timely progress notes for each episode of care in the patient's electronic record.
- Responsible for the proper use, maintenance, and calibration of specialized equipment used in the assessment and care of patients.
- Incumbent maintains supplies, equipment, and clinical areas to optimize safety and efficiency.
- Demonstrates knowledge and maintains standards in using and reprocessing Reusable Medical Equipment (RME).
- Evaluation and management of outpatients, ER and inpatient consults, and subsequent management
- Operative management of head and neck disease as appropriate.
- On-call coverage for ENT evaluation and management. Care will be provided at East Orange, Lyons, and Brick.
Salary: $350,000.00 to $400,000.00 Per Year
Work Schedule: Monday -Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
