Immediate contract opportunity for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Administrator with direct client in New York City. The primary objective of this role is to oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the company's infrastructure and services on the Google Cloud Platform. Also to advocate for their effective utilization across various departments. Responsibilities: • Configure and maintain GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, etc., ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. • Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards across GCP environments, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security, and logging. • Monitor the health and performance of GCP resources and services, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations. • Conduct an assessment of existing business processes and workflows across departments to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement through Google Workspace products such as Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Meet, etc. • Collaborate closely with department heads, IT personnel, and end-users to understand their requirements, challenges, and pain points in utilizing Google software products effectively. • Serve as a subject matter expert on Google Workspace products, providing guidance, support, and training to employees on how to leverage these tools to improve productivity, collaboration, and communication within the organization. • Identify and promote best practices for the use of Google software products, including tips, tricks, and advanced features that can streamline workflows and enhance efficiency. Stay informed about updates, new features, and developments in Google Workspace products, and disseminate relevant information to internal stakeholders to ensure they are leveraging the latest capabilities. • Monitor adoption and usage metrics of Google software products within the organization and provide regular reports and insights to management on trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Qualifications: • Strong familiarity and proficiency with Google Workspace products, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Meet, etc. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. • Proven experience in training and supporting end-users in the adoption and utilization of technology tools within a corporate environment. • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend appropriate solutions using Google software products. • Organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and initiatives concurrently. • Passion for technology and innovation, with a willingness to stay updated on the latest trends and developments in cloud-based productivity tools.
