Norfolk Southern Corporation is currently seeking an experienced and innovative Enterprise Architect to lead the development of an enterprise LeanIX program. The Enterprise Architect will partner with business stakeholders and other architects to drive holistic technology implementation across work value streams. Foster continuous feedback, adaptive design, practices, adoption, and collaboration. - Maintains a high-level, holistic vision of enterprise solutions and development initiatives.
- Influences common modeling, design, and coding practices.
- Collects, generates, and analyzes innovate ideas and technologies that are applicable across the enterprise.
- Understands and communicates Enterprise Architecture decisions and design to IT & business stakeholders, providing the right business solution.
- Maintains awareness of priority technical deliverables across architecture and communicating industry leading tools and best practices.
- Works with FinOps Engineer and other Architects to ensure finances support the strategy.
- Synchronizes system, security, quality, production infrastructure, solution, user experience, governance, scalability, and performance.
- Maintains a high-level, holistic vision of enterprise solutions and development initiatives.
- Collaborates with Lean Portfolio Management to provide a high-level vision of enterprise solutions and development initiatives.
- Shares technical & architectural best practices across enterprise portfolio.
- Establishes and execute architecture management processes including the Architecture Review Board and Enterprise Architecture Oversight committee.
- Partners with security architects to ensure all security standards are followed.
- Mentors and guide architects and engineers to support ongoing development and quality of work.
- Demonstrate ability to identify architectural gaps and design effective solutions.
- Lead teams cross functionally and communicate complex technical information to various stakeholders.
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in application monitoring technologies, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
- 10 years in corporate enterprise Technology environments.
- Enterprise Architecture Management, EAM experience.
- Java development experience.
Skills Preferred
- 5+ years experience in an Architect position handling roadmap creation and team reviews.
- Python development.
- Public cloud architecture.
Education
Bachelor's degree in CIS, MIS, Engineering, or similar Technology focus.
