ITC Federal is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer Lead to support a critical DOJ program. This position is required to support daily security services to all of Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) customers/users and oversee a small team to help ensure IT systems are secure. This position reports directly to the EOIR designated Government lead and will provide weekly incident reports and tasks status to the Government leads. The candidate will be responsible for working with other IT support groups within EOIR to ensure security compliance across all IT systems.
ITC is seeking an Enterprise Architect to assist with modernizing/standardizing and improving the DOJ EOIR IT management processes. The chosen candidate will support the enterprise “big-picture” design and orchestration of infrastructure and systems. From cloud-based hosting environments to hybrid mode. They will support DevSecOps efforts along with collaborating with other directorates within the organization to modernize the environment.
Responsibilities:
- Define the foundations, baseline, guidance, standards, and vision for the development and implementation of an architecture-based process for making IT investment decisions. This architecture is used to assess legacy and developmental systems for alignment with key business, technical, and operational goals.
- Assist the Government in IT system architecture documentation, design and planning of current and future technical and functional / business systems by depicting technical, systems, and functional architecture views as required.
- Facilitate and develop plans which will enable information sharing, integration, and interoperability while considering service-oriented architecture best practices by aligning architectures with overarching Federal and DOJ architectures, and other related architecture activities.
- Executes comprehensive framework used to manage and align an organization's Information Technology (IT) assets, people, operations, and projects with its operational characteristics.
- Plan, design, implement and document migrating of systems and network infrastructure to EOIR Cloud Based Service (ECBS).
- Support developing backup, disaster recovery solutions to provide resiliency and redundancy, load balance on existing enclave and the newly migrated environment.
- Support the DevOps and DevSecOps strategies for the agency to be cloud agnostic, agile and secure. The DevOps strategy should reflect the agency strategic plan to enhance operations and software development by automation via Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CICD) and other DevOps framework and best practices.
- Minimum BS degree in IT, Computer Science, engineering, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience with 5+ years of IT Architecture experience.
- Experience with DevSecOps and DevOps technologies.
- Azure Cloud expertise, required
- Must be a self-motivator with the ability to work remotely as part of a team, or independently with little supervision.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills are an absolute must.
- Ability to communicate across multiple stakeholders including senior leaders, customers, project leaders, team members, and technical experts.
- Ability to create, discuss and explain technical solutions and documentation.
- Strong writing and communications skills.
- Master’s Degree in IT, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field.
