Engineering Technologist in Research Office

**What you’ll achieve **

As a Engineering Technologist in the Hardware Lab, your primary responsibility will be to work with members of the Global Chief Technology Office to research, prototype, and develop next generation technologies. Your work will provide key data points that will guide and inform Dell executives and set the future direction of the company.

**You will: **

• Work in a flexible environment, both remotely and on-premise, with a team and lab based in Hopkinton, Massachusetts
• Work closely with subject matter experts in a modern development environment
• Collaborate with more experienced developers to create multi-disciplinary prototypes
• Create presentations, contribute to the development of either Software or Hardware (Field Programmable Gate Array) prototypes and document your results
• Leverage existing and develop new skills in advanced hardware technologies, system design and development methods, and hardware design. You will be a member of a small advanced technology team where your contributions will be valued

**Essential Requirements  **

• Demonstrate the successful completion of multidisciplinary projects
• Ability to effectively communicate through presentations, verbal and written skills
• Have the ability to research, learn, and create advanced prototypes that use multiple technologies
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work across a diverse team
• Capable of both independent work and as a member of a team

**Desirable Requirements  **

• Related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree  or Masters(e.g. internship); or an advanced degree without experience

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this position is $91,800 – $151,800 depending on location.
