- Support PEB Milestones and Maintenance Operations.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to mechanical/electrical systems that support facilities.
- Work on Thermal Vacuum systems and test facilities (e.g., vibration tables).
- Work on vacuum systems (e.g., pumps, controllers, liquid nitrogen systems, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and solve problems varying in complexity.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required by management.
- Will be required to acquire GSFC specific training.
- Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems (i.e., those that typically can be solved solely by properly interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents) while working on mechanical & electrical equipment.

- Communicate with Group Lead and management as required to complete tasks.
- Must be able to follow written procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience related to mechanical/electrical systems.
- Shall be well versed in the use of schematics in everyday assignments—drafting, designing, constructing, and troubleshooting from these.
- Ability to work from well-defined specifications contained in sketches, diagrams, and drawings to carry out assignments.
- Experience assembling components for large thermal vacuum test facilities.
- Effective communication and positive interpersonal skills with ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Familiarity with hand tools and mechanical/electrical principles.
- Basic proficiency in basic math calculations, PC tools, MS Office, E-mail, and Web applications.
- Must be capable of successfully completing the following training: hazard communication, personal protective equipment, IT security and other required training or certifications (e.g., Crane, LDE, Manlift, etc.) as directed by ETIS management.
- Accept and work within established policies and procedures pertaining to company rules and regulations.
- May need to Travel 10%.
