Position Title: Engineering Technician III
Location: Buffalo, NY and surrounding Northern New York areas (travel required).
Salary Range: $95,000 to $115,000 Depending on Experience
Project Solutions Inc. is seeking experienced Engineering Technicians in four distinct roles for an exciting opportunity in The Great Lakes and Ohio River region:
- Engineering Technician III (Civil)
- Engineering Technician III (Mechanical)
- Engineering Technician III (Electrical)
- Engineering Technician (Materials)

Project/Position Overview
The scope of services includes providing assistance to the US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) in its CMS mission at various projects in the Great Lakes and Ohio River region.
This role is contingent upon reward.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Receives and logs incoming submittals.
- Communicates with project managers, resident engineers, and construction representatives in matters pertaining to progress of submittal processing.
- Forwards drawings and other technical submittals to the proper engineering department personnel.
- Organizes and files all engineering and technical documents.
- Maintains files.
- Gives presentations at the contractor's conference.
- Maintains DR CHECKS database.
- Contacts project managers about review completion.
- Acts as contractor liaison.
- Delivers submittals to project managers and resident engineers.
- Utilizes Corp of Engineers automated information systems as required.
Required education, knowledge and skills:
- Must have 3-5 years of related experience.
- Minimum education should be a High School degree or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3d 2016, and similar technical and agency software or the willingness and capability to be trained on such software.
- Working knowledge of or the willingness and capability to be trained on a variety of surveying equipment.
Knowledgeable and experienced in utilizing a variety of computer hardware and software applications, such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
Knowledgeable and experienced in operating small office machines, such as calculators, fax machines, scanners, and copy machines.
Knowledgeable and experienced in general office procedures, such as but not limited to scheduling meetings, preparing reports, creating, and editing spreadsheets, and filing both paper and digital formats.
Working knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations for construction projects.
Must be skillful in working and communicating with the general public.
Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, communicating, and understanding in English.
Physically capable of mobility and accomplishing duties in on-site, field environments.
Capable of working independently and be a self-starter.
Capable of maintaining professionalism in all situations and environments.
Capable of effectively contributing as a member of a team.
Possess efficient telephone and email communication skills while being professional, courteous, and respectful.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
