Form of workThis position is located in the design and Construction Branch, Engineering Services Division, Engineering Department, Training Center (TRACEN) Petaluma, CA.
Qualifications:GS-9 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-8 level.
Specialized experience is:
- Determining the constructability and ensuring compliance with the design engineer's requirements;
- Reviewing contracts to determine constructability, scheduling and compatibility between a wide-variety of trades;
- Managing and maintaining the contractor's quality of control program, work schedules, inspections, etc.;
- Collecting field data for projects, investigations and surveys, preparing cost estimates, determining local methods and materials needed for cost effective designs, and
- Drafting a statement of work for new projects.
OR
Master's or equivalent graduate degree -or- 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree -or- LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
Combination of specialized experience and graduate level education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
