Engineering Technician

Positions filled via this flyer will be filled using the STRL-Direct Support Hiring Authority.Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: directing the development, schedule, and installation of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) ship alterations (SHIPALTs).
Examples of qualifying experience include, but are not limited to: Working in navy ship industrial work environments, ability to support advanced planning and pre-installation for navy alterations, familiarity with monitoring contractor performance in industrial environments, familiarity with navy modernization processes (or equivalent), ability to communicate and provide briefs to peers and external organizations, understanding of interpreting navy drawings and schedules, understanding of safety guidelines in ship industrial environments, understanding of basic quality assurance principles..
