Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Project Management in Santa Barbara, California (ACT) is responsible for supporting all Engineering Projects at ACT. We are searching for an intern to support the Project Management team. The successful candidate will plan, monitor, and execute projects with guidance from the team. The individual will learn how to document risks, monitor the critical path, and assist with project change requests. The individual will also work closely with engineering team members to relay status updates on projects and help push them toward success.
This internship will run from May 2024 - August 2024. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Santa Barbara, CA facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with project team to document project scope, risks, constraints, dependencies, assumptions, deadlines.
- Assist Project Managers with obtaining weekly project updates from team members.
- Document meeting minutes and distribute to team.
- Help monitor project risks and ensure team is working on mitigations.
- Organize and schedule team meetings
- Monitor project progress and help in adjustments.
- This is an in-office position located in Santa Barbara, CA; it is not a remote position.
Education and Experience:
Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Engineering. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
- Time management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Leadership, critical thinking, problem solving, and organization skills.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
