We founded the company as a fully-remote team (pre Covid!) and are open to applicants that live within a 5 hour time zone difference of US Pacific Time.
The Role
We're looking for a hands-on, player/coach Engineering Manager to manage our Core Product software team, overseeing a group of full-stack generalist software engineers building/improving Monarch's Core Product. This role will partner closely with our CTO on engineering-wide initiatives as well.
Your Contribution
Manage and grow the team of engineers working on Monarch's Core Product experience. Help them execute day-to-day and grow their skills/career over time.
Collaborate closely with Product and Design to plan and execute on new features and improvements.
Review and help make key technical decisions.
Partner with our Head of Engineering on hiring and other engineering-wide initiatives.
Skills
2-5 years experience in a hands-on management role.
Comfort writing or reviewing code, when necessary, across the entire technical stack (front-end and back-end).
Strong product intuition.
Experience making technical decisions at scale (distributed systems).
