Engineering Intern (Summer)
Our internships are intended as a mutually beneficial opportunity for students to explore a career in the growing battery market, specifically with a growth company. The summer would be spent working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team developing and process technology. We will work closely with our interns at the beginning of their experience to identify a project or initiative that is directly applicable to their interests.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
-Work as a member of a team in the planning, implementation and completion of projects using your fundamental engineering skills.
-Working alongside experienced engineers, you will be responsible for Process and/or Project engineering activities to support various production processes.
-Using AutoCAD to revise and generate drawings to help communicate process design concepts and needs recommended by Group14 engineers.
-Participate in Management of Change activities to formally document changes to our production process.
-Support and contribute to review and analysis of production and engineering data.
-The intern will be given a specific process improvement task to take ownership of, and progress to completion throughout their internship.
-Aid engineers in troubleshooting of process, mechanical, and electrical problems.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
-Actively enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in an ABET accredited engineering program in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
-Ability to work part-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2023.
-Mechanical aptitude and interest in doing hands on manual tasks.
OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:
-Some experience in an industrial setting (i.e. co-op or internship).
-Familiarity with industrial safety principles including LOTO, MOC, PTW.
-Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or JMP.

The hourly base pay for this position is $23.00/hr. This internship will go for approximately 20 hours/week, with a maximum of 30 hour/week.
