ResponsibilitiesGeneral Summary of Duties:
Responsible to monitor, repair, and perform preventive maintenance program on the hotel's refrigeration equipment.
Typical Physical/Mental Demands:
Requires mobility. Prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and bending. Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and manipulate supplies. Ability to climb stairs and ladders. Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors. Normal vision and hearing range. Normal sense of smell, touch, and sound.
Typical Working Conditions:
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, being exposed to environmental factors such as seasonal heat, cold, noise, dust, and pollution. Ability to work in confined spaces in awkward positions. Use and exposure to refrigerants, oils, solvents, and chemicals. Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):
1. Assist in start-up, shut down, and operation of all refrigeration equipment.
2. Perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance on all refrigeration equipment.
3. Identify and troubleshoot problems and make repairs accordingly.
4. Perform appropriate plumbing requirements for refrigeration equipment repairs as needed.
5. Perform other related duties as assigned including kitchen equipment repairs.
QualificationsPerformance Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities):
Education:
High school education or equivalent. Trade apprenticeship preferred.
Experience:
From entry-level to two years experience as an HVAC mechanic at a complex facility preferred.
License/Certificate:
Technical school certificate or trade license preferred.
