Responsibilities and Duties
● Conducting site visits and collecting data in the field
● Managing and analyzing data sets using GIS
● Building data collection applications using ESRI software
● Creating map-based deliverables for clients to communicate spatial impact of projects
● Working with project managers to generate custom solutions for clients
● Assisting with management of construction projects by studying project concept, architectural drawings, and models
● Assisting with day-to-day project management tasks and creating materials to keep clients current on project status
● Determine project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs
● Operate a company vehicle
● Perform other duties as required
Required Technical and Functional Skills:
● Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
● Be skilled in the application of complex mathematical computations
● Exhibit excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to articulate ideas and thoughts clearly
● Have a strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
● Be detail oriented
● Have the ability to work both independently and as a team player with a passion to contribute to a positive work environment
● Have the ability to anticipate problems and apply appropriate decision-making skills
● Have the ability to follow oral and written procedures and instructions
● Have the ability to organize and plan work assignments
● Have the ability to demonstrate customer-focused behaviors in daily business activities
● Have valid driver’s license from your state of residence
● Be able to pass drug screen and criminal background check
● Be legally authorized to work for Malasri Engineering in the U.S.
● Must be ethically and morally centered and able to uphold company values including treating people with respect, inspire the trust of others, and work with integrity
● Have a strong willingness to improve, grow, and create strong habits
Desired Qualifications:
● Material certifications are a plus (Asphalt, Concrete, Erosion Control, Earthwork, etc.)
● Have EI or EIT certification or have the ability to quickly obtain certification
● Participation in professional societies or extracurricular activities
● Applicable internship experience and/or work experience
● Advance working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Publisher, Access) AutoDesk (AutoCAD, Civil 3D), and ESRI GIS software
● Additional professional certifications
Physical Requirements: The role entails a range of physical requirements, including standing and walking or sitting alternatively based on the day's specific needs, estimating 40% of time spent on feet and 60% sitting at the desk. Additionally, the position involves climbing stairs, pushing or pulling, reaching above shoulder height, engaging in filing activities, and lifting or carrying items varying from under 1 lb to over 50 lbs.
