Job Description
As an Engineering Assistant, you will play a vital role in our team, providing support at the entry to intermediate-level with a focus on design, specifications, estimates, grant applications, construction assistance, and other related tasks. You will also contribute to various moderately complex projects, embracing a diverse range of tasks such as preliminary site inspections, design, document development, research, planning, client coordination, and construction oversight.

Working under the guidance of the Department Manager, Professional Engineers, and experienced Designers, you will find ample opportunities to grow and develop in your role. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or anticipated Bachelor's degree in Spring 2024
- Engineering-in-Training certificate or plan to receive Engineering-in-Training certificate within 6 months
- Understanding of basic civil engineering design principles
- Understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Adobe PDF
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D design tools
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and procedures
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Professional demeanor and appearance
Responsibilities:
You will spend the majority of your time in our professional and welcoming office environment, contributing to projects that make a positive impact. Some opportunities for field work may be available, primarily during the summer, for data collection during project initiation or construction oversight. Your flexibility and willingness to adapt to support the design of differing engineering challenges are the key to making a difference.
You will be involved with various tasks related to the design of various types of civil engineering projects.
