The Standards Engineer I position has the opportunity to develop into an Engineer II, Engineer III or a Senior Engineer position based on your experience level. General Description:
The Standards Engineer I will apply novice engineering skills and judgment in the performance of entry-level engineering for the development and maintenance of the District's construction, material, and engineering design standards. Many of the duties of the Engineer I are intended to develop engineering skills and judgment. The technical work for which an Engineer I is responsible will normally be under the supervision of more senior engineers and Managers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in appropriate engineering discipline. An equivalent of education and experience may be qualifying.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Completion of an electrical utility internship
• Successful completion of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is preferred.

The work environment conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Work is performed in the office Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Remote work is not available for this position.
