Job Description:
Microchip is seeking an entry level Marketing Applications Engineer to join the PIC and AVR Microcontroller Business unit and become part of a worldwide team. A unique position for a candidate with a strong technical background and an interest in the business aspect of industry. The successful candidate will have a talent for conveying complex topics in a clear and concise manner.
Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with Marketing and Applications teams to help strategize and develop effective collateral promoting Microchip Technology's 8-bit products and relevant development tools
- Occasionally writing, evaluating, or otherwise debugging basic embedded firmware applications i.e. Code Development, Library/Software verification
- Developing instructional videos, tutorials, and code examples to help promote new and existing product/tool features and capabilities
- Preparing and delivering online or in-person training to global customers, distributors, and field personnel
- Working with Microchip Technology's web development team to help improve customer online experience
Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- 0-3 years experienc
- Experience using embedded devices or designs
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Experience with C/C++ programming languages
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools especially PowerPoint, comfortable presenting and interacting with audiences
- Able to do basic circuit analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates familiar with 8-bit PIC and AVR Microcontrollers
- Experience dealing with Mass Market or Maker/Hobbyist community
- Experience creating and deploying video/blog content
- Familiarity with product life cycles
- Familiarity with Python, JavaScript and similar languages
- System level understanding of embedded applications
