Job Description
- Member of product launch teams for manufacturing engineering support.
- Develop and maintain operator work instructions for all products.
- Define future technology requirements.
- Assist in defining long-range capital planning.
- Selection, design, justification, implementation, and support of Paint Line, Assembly, CNC, and manufacturing equipment.
- PLC and 3D modeling work.
- Enforcement of company rules.
- Ensure employee safety by ensuring all safety devices are in use and the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is always worn.
- Report all accidents / near misses to the operations manager and safety manager within 24 hours. Participate in the completion of the accident investigation / report.
- Assist with implementing and sustaining corrective actions.
- Ensure associates within a specific production area attend all safety-related training events.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within a specific production area.
- Maintain 5S initiatives within production area responsibilities.
- Continually search for process improvements to improve Quality, Productivity, Delivery, Safety and Cost metrics.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, and process improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in using CAD software, process simulation tools, and data analysis software.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Project management skills to lead and execute improvement projects within defined timelines.
- Understanding of safety protocols and regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments.
