Engagement Services Director or Director, Engagement Services

In this role, you will manage client relationships and lead teams in applying strategic communication, change management and consulting skills to our client’s goals. You will bring these skills together to create an employee experience using Alight’s products and services. You are a skilled writer, editor and communication strategist who confidently guides your internal team of content developers, designers, project managers and technical experts. Experience interpreting data, aligning technical and product stakeholders and leading people is desired.
Most importantly, you will be a role model to others, you will serve as a mentor for other client leaders and serve as a valued resource. You will help other client leaders develop and hone their skills to achieve our business goals. You also will contribute to business development initiatives and practice growth.
This is a virtual / work-from-home / remote opportunity available anywhere in the U.S.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading client teams to deliver large, complex communication projects
- Planning the development of effective multi-media communication and change management campaigns that inspire action
- Staying current with communication trends and demonstrating fluency with delivery channels
- Consulting with select clients at the senior HR level
- Creating and nurturing strong client relationships, becoming their trusted partner and influential advisor on communication and employee experience issues
- Anticipating client needs through the study of industry trends and the business environment and addressing them with the savvy application of human insight, creative strategy and friendly technology
- Helping to build cohesive, high-impact teams, leveraging colleague skills and talents
- Mentoring and coaching junior consultants
- Extending and expanding work with existing or new clients
- Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities
- Creating proposals and advancing sales initiatives
Required skills, experience and technical knowledge:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating creativity as well as HR/benefits expertise
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated ability to write and guide others to write compelling communication materials for a variety of audiences and media
- Comfortable with engaging with and presenting to clients
- Able to assimilate source materials, input from subject matter experts and other relevant documentation to create strategic recommendations and content
- Able to understand role on project/team, while going beyond to add value
- Able to collaborate efficiently and effectively with clients and colleagues
- Accountable for assignments/projects to ensure they’re delivered with excellence and profitability
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, leading and/or managing people
- Able to partner with subject matter experts from other lines of business
- Can learn and apply new technologies
- Software fluency, including the Microsoft 365 and Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated presentation, business development and selling skills
- Flexibility to travel (up to 15%)
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related discipline.

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $128,100.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $203,300.00/year (for full time employees). In addition to a base salary, this position may be eligible for a bonus and/or other incentive plans.
