Job Summary
Responsible for developing and coordinating a robust engagement strategy for Members, Families, Member-serving systems, and other stakeholders to inform and support the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico's Medicaid program.
The Member, Family, and Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator shall facilitate forums to actively solicit program improvement opportunities, including, for example, the development of Member materials and resources to assist Members and their families to navigate the program. This role is responsible for presenting to state organizational leadership.
Please note: This is a hybrid role and will work in the office three days a week.
Required Job Qualifications:
- Certified community health worker or certified peer support specialist and 6 years of related experience (ie Community Health/Outreach, Peer Support, Medicaid programs)
- Lived experience as a Medicaid recipient or have a family member with lived experience as a Medicaid recipient
- Knowledge of health care industry
- Interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- Organizational and planning skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Social Work, or a closely related field
- Previous relevant Medicaid program experience
- Bi-lingual
