Job description

What you'll do:
  • Complete review and analysis of all Landlord utilities for spikes to remediate and track leaks and other high usage issues.
  • Collaborate with utility providers to resolve billing and consumption issues.
  • Work closely with property managers, accounting, and asset management to troubleshoot utility disputes and other collections related utility items.
  • Monitor utilities in Landlords name to reduce instances of vacancy and tenant bill back utility accounts.
  • Review all Utility Bonds to determine necessity and work with surety provider to cancel unneeded bonds.
  • Collaborate with Utility Manager and Energy Analyst on tasks related to the tracking and data analysis of sustainability and energy efficiency programs.

  • Hands on experience problem solving for sustainability troubleshooting and reporting.
  • Learn more about the commercial real estate industry and the energy consumption, billing and efficiencies common in the industry.
  • Develop skills required to interact with other professionals at varying levels throughout the company.
  • Develop time management skills and the ability to be responsible for more than one project at a time.

What we're looking for:
  • A current undergraduate who can work full-time and in person during the semester.
  • A current university student with interest in real estate and/or sustainability and energy efficiency.
  • Computer and technical skills including a high level of competency in the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). A strong proficiency in excel is preferred for the role.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface professionally. with associates at all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize.
  • Positive attitude and ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
