Job Description
M&E Engineers is currently seeking a, Energy Auditor to join our energy team. The ideal candidate for this position will primarily perform investigations, analyses and documentation of energy conservation and cost reduction measures.
Job responsibilities include:
- Site walk-through assessments
- Collection of detailed information (e.g. utility data, equipment and building data, operational characteristics, temperature, flow and pressure measurements, etc.)
- Technical research
- Performing the identification and evaluation of energy efficiency measures
- Calculation of potential energy savings
- Audit report preparation
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 1 year of direct experience in energy management or energy auditing of facilities.
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- LEED AP, Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
- Knowledge of HVAC, lighting and industrial plant equipment and a high level of interest in improving energy efficiency.
- Well developed verbal and technical report writing skills.
- Experience with eQuest and other energy modeling software is a plus.
- COVID vaccination required.
