Job Purpose:
- Assists physicians during endoscopy procedures by welcoming and preparing patients; preparing and placing equipment; recording notes; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Duties:
- Welcomes endoscopy patients by confirming patient identification.
- Prepares equipment for procedure.
- Cleaning, high-level disinfecting of equipment.
- Assists physicians during endoscopy procedures.
- Maintains record of endoscopy procedures In Electronic Medical Record.
- Maintains quality results by following standards, procedures, and policies.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Medical Assistant Skills, Procedural Skills, Use of Medical Technologies, Bedside Manner, Analyzing Information, Medical Teamwork, Creating a Safe, Effective Environment, Equipment Trouble Shooting, Informing Others, Thoroughness.
- High School Graduate; BCLS Certification, if no BCLS willing to take training within the first six months.
- At least one year of experience in a Medical setting with a working knowledge of Medical terminology; prior experience in an OR/GI setting a plus.
- Experienced CST with vast endo experience.
- 2 years endo tech experience needed
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
