Position Summary:
The Emulsion Technician will work directly with Chemists and the rest of the Laboratory Team to support tasks associated with creating Abstrax Emulsions for our Hops, Water Soluble and like products. This individual will ensure a standard of quality across all duties. This operator will primarily be responsible for the emulsions (Brew Gas, Skyfarm, Premium WS, Hop WONFs), but will have duties that flow across to emulsions, downpacking and QC responsibilities when needed.
What You Will Do:
- Assist in keeping SOP’s up to date and maintaining the highest industry standards
- Preparation of equipment and raw materials for emulsion processing.
- Ensure consistency and efficiency of product through quality control procedures and procedures
- Maintaining strict inventory records and datasheets of all raw materials, products in process, processes, and cleaning processes.
- Routine preventative maintenance and repairs on emulsion equipment.
- Storing supplies and equipment and disposal of waste according to guidelines
- Inventory Management of isolates weekly to ensure we have stock to create blends.
- Ensure department is up to date with ISO related records, calibration logs, thermometer checks for fridges and ovens.
- Manage Distillation of key isolates, maintaining schedule to ensure we keep up with production.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and laboratory areas
- Accurately input production orders within ERP (Acumatica).
- Assign lots, best by dates and ensure packaging is secure.
- Train and assist team members to get equipment optimized for production
- Effectively communicate results to both technical and non-technical personnel
- Eventually will cross train to learn distillation for Hops, Hemp, Isolates and other.
- When needed, help within MFG areas, can include but not limited to downpacking, dishwashing, labeling/QA verification.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
