THE POSITION

Consider becoming a Business Services Representative (Employment Facilitator, OVR). for the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. The purpose of the Business Services Representative (BSR) is to increase employment opportunities and retention of OVR customers by promoting OVR services to businesses, stakeholders, and potential customers. As a forward-facing role, the BSR serves as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for local employer partners, while helping the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC) connect OVR customers to available jobs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Within this role, you will function as liaison between employer, providers, and district office staff in support of established district office programs and customer placement opportunities. The Business Services Representative maintains employer relationships established by VRCs and other VR staff (including DO managers, central office personnel, etc.) through regular contact via phone, email, virtual and in-person meetings.
Promoting OVR employment programs and other employer work incentive programs to employers, providers, and district office OVR staff such as On the Job Training (OJT), apprenticeships, paid work experiences, supported employment, etc. will be included in your duties. You will have the opportunity to share information with other resources.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • This position is Alternate Work Schedule eligible after a probationary period.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to (3) days/week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed Internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office.
  • Salary:Most employees will start at the beginning level of the advertised salary.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree that includes 24 credits in the behavioral sciences; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 24 credits in the behavioral sciences.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
