SUMMARY:

The Employee Success Manager designs and implements retention strategies for departments To drive retention and enhance overall employment experience at all stages of the employee life cycle. The Employee Success Manager works with management in developing strategies to recruit and retain a strong work force, and promotes Four Winds Casinos as an employer of choice in the community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Creates, implements, and manages team member engagement, retention and onboarding strategies, initiatives, and programs in partnership with human resources team members, operation leaders, and other business partners.
  • Develop and ensure the onboarding process is welcoming, thorough and incorporates the company culture.
  • Drives a comprehensive onboarding program that is in alignment with the company's culture, supports departments with new team members through the first 90-days, or longer, to set them up for long term success with the organization.
  • Manages, tracks, and reports on key turnover and retention metrics and utilizes metrics to identify trends and to make recommendations.
  • Develop ways the organization and managers can be more transparent with employees.
  • Facilitates training programs for leaders at all levels of the organization on team member engagement and retention strategies.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of engagement and retention programs and drives ongoing process improvement.
  • Evaluate interview process, selection criteria, and applicant communication and recommendations for ongoing improvement.
  • Maintains excellent personal job skills and knowledge in area or department of specialty. (This position is supposed to be assisting with all departments, so I don't know if this wording is stating that the position is to maintain excellent personal job skills and knowledge in HR specifically, or another specified department - could be ambiguous) I like "Maintains excellent personal job skills and functional Human Resources knowledge."
  • Craft organizational messages that instill the company's mission and core values
  • Assist in developing and recommending employee recognition programs.
  • Assists in job evaluations, job development, and improving job descriptions for a more realistic job preview.
  • Assists in HR areas as needed for translation or interpreter services.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must be bi-lingual, preferably Spanish, and able to travel to all properties. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of three years of human resources or operations experience focused on recruitment and retention. Bachelor's degree in human resources or related area, certifications, and supervisory experience preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills required. Possession of superior interpersonal skills and a high level of emotional intelligence. The ability to teach and coach others.

This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to write effective reports and memos. Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to interpret data from graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases too loud.
