The Employee Relations Specialist operates at a professional capacity encompassing the following key functional areas: legal compliance and internal investigation, employee training and development, and Employee Relations support.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Conduct and actively participate in company internal investigations
Ensure adherence to company-mandated training programs, maintaining compliance at all times.
Collaborate with senior leadership to present comprehense compliance reports pertaining to training initiatives.
Design and implement innovative training programs to meet organizational needs.
Maintains all employee and applicant documents according to corporate policy
Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner according to company policy and procedures
Reviews benefits with employees, processes enrollments, cancellations and changes
Maintains and processes all unemployment notices and potential charges in a timely fashion.
Attends unemployment hearings when necessary
Administers COBRA for group health plans
Performs additional duties as assigned
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field
SHRM Certified Professional preferred, though not required
Three to five years of HR experience
