The Employee Relations Specialist operates at a professional capacity encompassing the following key functional areas: legal compliance and internal investigation, employee training and development, and Employee Relations support.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct and actively participate in company internal investigations

  • Ensure adherence to company-mandated training programs, maintaining compliance at all times.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to present comprehense compliance reports pertaining to training initiatives.

  • Design and implement innovative training programs to meet organizational needs.

  • Maintains all employee and applicant documents according to corporate policy

  • Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner according to company policy and procedures

  • Reviews benefits with employees, processes enrollments, cancellations and changes

  • Maintains and processes all unemployment notices and potential charges in a timely fashion.

  • Attends unemployment hearings when necessary

  • Administers COBRA for group health plans

  • Performs additional duties as assigned

SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field

  • SHRM Certified Professional preferred, though not required

  • Three to five years of HR experience
