St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an exciting opportunity in Human Resources on our Employee Relations Team. The Employee Labor and Relations Specialist will provide expertise and practical guidance on all Human Resource Employee and Labor Relations-related issues. The selected candidate will need to be able to handle difficult conversations, mediate between different parties, and keep up to date on employment laws. The Employee Labor and Relations Specialist will also provide consultation to staff on all issues related to morale, diversity, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities:
- Recognizes potential employee relations issues and recommends corrective action
- Responsible for leading and organizing designated employee resource/support groups for LGBT, disabilities, diversity, veterans, etc.
- Assists with planning, organizing and executing large and small-scale employee appreciation and celebration events
- Generates and prepares quantitative and qualitative reports for executives, senior management, and/or HR staff on employee relations trends
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree is required
Minimum Experience:
- Three (3) years of Employee and Labor Relations experience required
- Experience in organizing employee events and leading employee resource/support groups strongly preferred
- Two (2) years' experience with HR systems, such as Lawson HRMS, employee relations case management system or other HR data management systems preferred
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification:
- Professional in Human Resources or Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) certification by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) preferred
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
