Job description

Employee Relations Specialist needed. Responsible for implementing strategies that increase employee engagement and enhance the agency culture. The primary areas of focus include employee wellbeing, employee satisfaction, workplace safety, training, and teambuilding.
Requirements: High school diploma required. Prefer Associates degree or post secondary training or education. Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related degree desirable. Related work experience required. Experience in a non-profit organization preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of employment law. Proficient in Word, Excel, and Google Workspace. Knowledge of human resources fundamentals.Outstanding interpersonal skills.

Summary of Duties:

  • Analyze data and make recommendations to improve the agency's practices for employees.
  • Involve the agency in designing and developing employee programs.
  • Review agency policies to make sure the agency is meeting its internal values.
  • Develop internal systems to recognize, promote, and motivate the agency's best employees.
  • Collect and analyze employee data to determine areas of improvement and make recommendations to the agency executives.
  • Interview workers and discuss work-related problems that adversely affect morale, health, and productivity.
  • Lead the Central Office Safety Committee, implementing activities and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Lead the agency Wellbeing Committee and develop and implement wellbeing initiatives, using data to determine needs and track outcomes.
  • Provide work-life balance for the employees. Establish a fun and creative atmosphere in the workplace.
  • Work with internal committees to plan staff teambuilding events.
  • Identify global agency training needs, develop training plans, and coordinate appropriate training events.
  • Outline agency goals and objectives, select performance targets, and track agency performance using predetermined indicators related to happiness in the workplace.
