Purpose:
As an Employee Relations Manager you’ll play a critical role in providing Human Resources consulting services and Employee Relations expertise in the areas of performance management, policies and procedures, employment law, leave of absence, workplace accommodations, and immigration-related matters. Establishing and promoting open communication between leaders and employees with regard to current policies and practices.
Accountabilities:
  • Leads a high-performing team of Employee Relations specialists.
  • Proactively handles complex Employee Relations case work, providing direction to leaders on handling sensitive employee issues.
  • Leads and/or manages investigations into workplace complaints, misconduct, and/or policy violations.
  • Provides counsel to leaders and employees related to employment issues and conflicts. Provides guidance and alternatives to promote increased understanding and effective working relationships.
  • Leads in the development, interpretation, application, and communication of Human Resources policies, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
  • Collects and analyzes employee data to identify trends and provides solutions for improvement and/or resolution.
  • Proposes solutions for improving employee satisfaction, retention, and performance.
  • Stays informed about US employment laws and regulations and provides awareness to the organization that ensures adherence to legal requirements.
  • Manages immigration processes for employees across all locations, collaborating with legal and external partners to maintain compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong foundation of US employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, with a diverse audience, and to positively influence the actions and decisions of others.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience:
  • 3+ years of prior experience in an Employee Relations role, with demonstrated experience handling complex Employee Relations case work and leading internal investigations.
  • 2+ years of formal people leadership
  • Experience in developing, implementing and communicating Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Experience with handling immigration process and related documentation.
  • Prior experience with managing, evaluating, and engaging with employees on the interactive process related to workplace accommodation requests.
