JOB DESCRIPTION
Work Schedule: .75 FTE Nights. 7pm-7am with an every third weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have one of the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Equivalent work experience in lieu of HS diploma or equivalent may be considered
- Current BLS – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
- One year experience in healthcare setting
- Must have strong organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills with a customer-service orientation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrates basic computers skills or the ability to achieve proficiency within 3 months.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with patients, visitors, and co-workers.
- Ability to independently initiate appropriate tasks within the scope of practice of the position.
- Ability to provide individualized care and respond to a variety of patient/family preferences.
- Ability to provide an exceptional patient experience utilizing strong customer service skills.
- Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
- EMT certification on State of Minnesota Registry
- Knowledge and care in the use of orthopedic equipment
- Knowledge of order sets in Epic
- Equivalent Patient Care Experience
- HUC or unit clerk experience
- Microsoft office experience
- Prior experience in acute care or emergency medical services setting
- Knowledge of Emergency Room patients
