Our EMS staff specializes in occupational health and primary care as on-site emergency response and first aid. They provide patients with basic to advanced life support and conduct themselves in a professional manner, displaying professionalism and acknowledging accountability for all patient care provided. To ensure success, our EMS employees remain calm at all times and make informed decisions with agility, knowledge, and outstanding people and communication skills.

The primary responsibilities of this role are to provide excellent customer service, maintain a working knowledge of EMS procedures, respond and treat emergent and non-emergent EMS incidents, and ensure all daily site responsibilities are handled in accordance with the training provided.
Responsibilities:
- Attending meetings and training events as required.
- Assessing patients' conditions and responsiveness to interventions.
- Assessing nature and determining the level of care; determining the extent of emergency situations and the need for additional assistance.
- Mitigating incidents by helping to control crowds, protecting valuables, and performing other duties.
- Administering Advanced and/or Basic Life Support.
- Maintaining clean and sanitary stations and medical equipment.
- Completing patient care reports and other documentation such as End of Shift Reports, Incident Reports and Intelex. This may be added to at WHS’s discretion.
- Complying with applicable policies and procedures, SOPs, and medical protocols given by WHS.
Required Licenses & Certifications:
- Current license with the State of Tennessee as an EMT.
- Current BLS Certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience, with 3 years or more preferred.
Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
- Current drivers’ license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations preferred.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Prior experience in industrial medical services, occupational health, or Emergency Medical services preferred.
Physical Requirements:
The job demands for this position include heavy lifting and carrying of objects weighing 100+ pounds, as well as pushing or pulling objects weighing 50+ pounds. The job also requires frequent walking and standing for extended periods. Additionally, the EMT should have dexterity in their hands and fingers to operate various equipment, be able to reach overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally, and be comfortable kneeling or crouching as needed.
