Essential Functions:
- Develop and facilitate an Emergency Operation Center Staff functional exercise.
- Designing a series of drills and exercises related to Emergency Management and Business Continuity principles.
- Develop and facilitate BWL wide communication exercise(s)
- Reviewing policies, procedures and Emergency Plans for accuracy and proper distribution and filing.
- Assist in the facilitation of various drills and exercises related to Business Continuity and Emergency Planning.
- File management of training and exercises related documentation.
- Assist with the integration of Emergency Management needs into other department initiatives/project, as applicable (e.g., HRIS, Incident Investigations, Supply Chain management, etc.) Required to follow and enforce BWL Safety Manual and wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Attends training for safety awareness or skills improvement as required by the Emergency Manager, BWL or governmental agency such as MIOSHA.
- Participation in the continuous improvement of the Asset Management System and Work Management processes.
- Expected to comply with all BWL policies and work rules.
- Predictable and reliable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited educational institution with a focus on business management, Emergency Management or a related field with junior or senior status during the summer of 2024.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
- Employees are required to follow the BWL Safety Manual and wear required personal protective equipment, adhere to BWL safety rules and regulations, attend all training for safety awareness or skills improvement as required by supervisor, BWL, or governmental agency such as MIOSHA.
- Normal office and occasional field work.
- Field conditions may include potential for heat, cold, dust, and/or noise.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus, especially due to concentration on a computer screen and small numbers.
- Must successfully complete a background check, a substance screening and a physical (if applicable).
