Emergency Hire Drafting Technician II - Facilities Planning

Job Summary

• Provide support for the campus ADA Transition Plan including prioritizing and tracking access barrier removal, publishing accessible route maps, and updating the appropriate web pages with campus progress. (Track and Map- Path of Travel updates, All-gender restrooms, Disability Resource Center shuttle stops).
• Maintain and publish campus AutoCAD floor plans and maps.
• Coordinate the Facilities Plan Room, both the electronic and print versions, including scans of century old documents to modern 3D CAD building information models {BlMs).
• Provide construction documents and produce graphics for planning, maintenance, and operational uses.

Education and Experience

Equivalent to four years of progressively responsible drafting experience including two years at the journey level preparing complete design and construction drawings for minor construction projects of for modification of existing structures or systems.

Associate of Arts degree or equivalent with extensive coursework in drafting technology, engineering or a related discipline. One year of specialized drafting experience, which has demonstrated that the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the fundamental knowledge and abilities of a draftsperson, may be substituted for the required education.

Salary:

Anticipated Hiring Range: $23.13 - $25.45 per hour

Classification Range: $23.13 - $41.85 per hour
