Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an EMC Engineering Analyst 3 or 4 for the RWESS, supporting the Army.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited* college/university and 6 years of experience analyzing results of tests, assisting in ensuring data integrity and quality, providing statistical analysis and presenting findings to team members and management; or an Associate's Degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited* college/university and 8 years of applicable experience; or 10 years of applicable experience; or 10 years of applicable military experience performing engineering, analysis, and related functions in research, development, test and evaluation in support of military equipment and systems.
- Understanding of Army E3 requirements including knowledge of standards such as MIL-STD-464 and MIL-STD-461.
- Experience with general electronic maintenance tools including soldering irons, multi-meters, and oscilloscopes.
- Experience in the reading and understanding of schematics/engineering drawings.
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to support overtime work as needed to include occasional nights/weekends.
- Ability to occasionally travel CONUS and/or OCONUS
- Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Project, Outlook)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical expertise for testing Army and other various systems for intra-EMC testing; including but not limited to Noise Floor, Source Victim, (EED’s), and Power Quality.
- Maintain test facilities and support equipment for intra-EMC testing.
- Work closely with other technicians, analyst, and engineers in performing testing to MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and approved Redstone Test Center Test Plans.
- Operate various test equipment to include high power Radio Frequency (RF) amplifiers, mobile and base station radio communication systems, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Operate data acquisition systems including in house test software.
- Document test procedures, test methods, and test data.
- Work with the EMC team to ensure all customer schedules are met.
- Participate in cross-functional training activities within the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Test division (E3) performing a variety of engineering technician tasks.
