The Embedded Engineer (Applied Computer Science & AI) Internship is an opportunity to learn and build your skills in the development and implementation of AI algorithms by working with embedded systems, offering hands-on experience in a fast-paced industry setting. Our internship is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled at an accredited college/university and who will be continuing their studies in the fall.

The typical base pay range for this position is USD $30.00 - $52.50 per hour. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Note that compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only.

Job Duties

• Work on projects related to the application of AI in embedded systems
• Collaborate with the team to develop machine learning models for IoT devices
• Assist in the integration of AI algorithms into embedded hardware
• Participate in coding, testing, and optimization of AI-driven software solutions
• Contribute to research and exploration of new AI technologies and methodologies

Qualifications

• Candidates should be seeking a Bachelors or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on AI
• Solid foundation in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar languages
• Basic understanding of machine learning, neural networks, and AI concepts
• Familiarity with embedded systems and hardware platforms is a plus
• Curiosity and eagerness to work on AI applications in the real world
• Able to work independently at times and dedicate a minimum of 20 hours/week
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your employment and criminal history
• Must be 18 years of age or older
