SalaryWe are looking for a reliable and caring individual to join our team at the Elementary School level as a Teacher’s Aide.
POSITION: Special Education Teacher Aide
LOCATION: Various Elementary Schools
HOURS: Monday – Friday, 30 hours per week
SUPERVISOR: Building Assistant Principal
DATE POSITION IS AVAILABLE: Immediately
RESPONSIBILITIES:
RESPONSIBILITIES – Special Education Aide:
- Support of students with special needs as per their IEP
- Collaboration with Special Education Teacher and other staff members on behalf of the student’s success
- Monitor the health and well-being of students
- Effectively communicate with classroom teacher and administration
- Willingness to obtain and employ Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training
- Data collection and implementation of behavior plans
- Assist classroom teacher as needed
- Other duties as assigned
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- A professional, patient, and calm demeanor with children of all ages
- Experience with children who have attentional, behavioral/emotional, and academic challenges
REQUIREMENTS: Experience preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: High School Diploma
