Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in education and then masters or Doctoral Degree in Special Education or Teaching Students with Special Needs
- SPED Teachers usually specialize or focus on teaching certain students (K-12th, Mild-Moderate Level Students, or even Severe Autistic students). These specifications may be listed as endorsements on their license.
- Often work with student evaluations: IEPs (Individualized Education Program/Plan)
- Must hold and Active Special Education State Teaching License
- VOCO: Must have State License, 2 Years of School Experience, and Education Certificate if required.
- Teaching credential with ANY of the 6 Sped endorsements
Job Details:
- Start & End Date: ASAP - June 7th, 2024
- Hours: 37.5 Hours / Full Time
- Caseload Details:More details can be discussed during an interview.Working in a self-contained classroom with students with Emotional Disabilities (ED) there will be para support in the classroom. Elementary caseload.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities, tailoring approaches to meet individual learning goals and needs.
- Assessing student progress, adapting curriculum materials, and implementing behavior management techniques to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
