Position Overview:
The After School Teaching Assistant will be responsible for aiding the Lead Teacher in classroom management, as well as assisting the students with their projects and lessons for the day.
Ideal Candidate:
- Is enthusiastic about engaging students.
- Has a background in classroom teaching or has experience as a camp counselor.
- Is patient and reliable.
Requirements:
- Assist in classroom management (specific dates and times will depend on class location).
- Have reliable transportation to commute to the campus.
- Adherence to school COVID protocols is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help maintain a constructive learning environment for students.
- Actively engage all students in the learning process.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and parents.
- Attend regular meetings to maintain alignment and uphold quality standards.
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in teaching or tutoring.
- A readiness to adhere to the school's and VAC Enrichment's policies and procedures, including those pertaining to COVID.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills.
