Job description

Responsibilities:
Assemble components to produce Client's products according to written specifications.
Perform visual or other inspection of components to ensure product quality.
Participate in teams to continuously improve production processes or product quality.
Perform manufacturing operations proficiently. Train and rotate between functions as assigned.
Assemble components to produce Client's finished products according to written specifications or prints.
Perform visual or other inspection of components, sub-assemblies, and end product to ensure quality in accordance with written specifications, prints, and ISO-9001 and FDA requirements.
Participate in teams to continuously improve production processes and product quality. Perform operations such as prepping, soldering, testing, milling, DCP, MSCP, preparing housing, packaging and transporting components and piece parts as required by specific production line procedures.
Train and rotate between functions as required or assigned. Meet established production standards.
Sort and remove defective parts or products.
Participate in team meetings. Perform tasks outside meetings as assigned.
This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).
Engage others, promote, and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.
Deadlines include daily production schedules and line standards.
Work direction is given on a task-by-task basis.
Direction is given through written standard operating procedures or verbal instructions from supervisor or line coordinator.
Direct supervision is minimal. Work is routine and must be performed according to established engineering specifications and in accordance with FDA and ISO 9001 requirements. Impact and scope - Possible errors are usually detected in subsequent steps and results in minor confusion and rework.
Will interact with most levels of employees in operations and other departments.
Quals--
2 years previous experience in medical assembly/production, or a combination of post HS education and experience providing equivalent knowledge/skill Internal Employees Must: Meet the Core Requirements, or be at a T3 level or greater with 1 year of Client's production (or similar Client's manufacturing related) experience.
Have been evaluated on most recent performance appraisal at "Commendable level of Contribution" or above. Possess a consistently acceptable attendance record.
Education requirements can be obtained through an educational institution or gained through equivalent work experience.
Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures (SOPs), schematics, prints, and drawings. Skill to accurately assemble components.
Ability to perform repetitive work. Ability to learn various operations and equipment within the pump floor and perform proficiently.
Must be able and flexible to rotate to any operation on the pump floor or other areas as required. Skill to perform inspections.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisor or coordinator. Willingness and ability to participate actively on teams.
Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers.
Ability to adapt to changes in technology. Good verbal communications skills. Skill and ability to learn to operate all area equipment.
Must be able to work all required overtime.
Ability to operate all Test equipment. Ability to perform and contribute to Lean activities.
Ability to use and understand computers and their software programs such as Excel, work and Oracle GAM. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and kneel as job requires.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
