Responsibilities include removing, repairing, modifying, servicing and installing various types of electronic components including but not limited to electronic transmitting, receiving, and GPS equipment; assembles, solders, connects and inter-wires electronic components; performs maintenance, alignment, configuration and testing of equipment; follows engineering drawings, schematics, safety procedures, standards and technical manuals to accomplish assigned tasks.
Functional Responsibilities:
- The ability to accept and accommodate dynamic technical mission requirements is a must.
- Includes experience in the physical concealment of electronics into an assortment of configurations to include design, assembly (electronic/mechanical), programming, and operational testing of electronic firmware and hardware.
- Requires extensive experience and competence in digital microware, cellular, and internet protocol data egress technologies and techniques.
- Candidates routinely assemble prototype and operational systems from the circuit board and individual component level, and make modification to existing hardware often based on minimally documented design specifications.
- Candidates must be able to perform technical work in non-optimal locations and conditions, often under short time constraints.
