Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Electronic Technician 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This role will be located in Melbourne, FL.
In this role you will be performing routine technical functions related to the support of development engineering and test activities, such as, test, verification, modification, and assembly of electronics and Electro-mechanical systems to print. Interpreting schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, and simple developmental engineering tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform repairs and modifications to aircraft type structures and accessories
- Working with engineers on electrical and mechanical issues
- Working with engineers to develop training for customer maintenance
- Perform assembly and test on subsystems and/or subassemblies in a lab environment
- Provide technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel
- Perform daily inspection of support equipment
- Interface with other departments to resolve problems
- Perform daily task of setting up equipment for jobs for the day
- The selected candidate will provide technical support to engineers on technical tasks in the Test and Evaluation organization. Basic Qualifications for an Electronic Technician 4:
- Minimum of a High School diploma and 6 years' of aircraft and/or laboratory technician experience.
- Familiar with MIL type cable assemblies and connectors and Structures
- Previous ALMDS/E2 Lab Operations/Vehicle system Test or Maintenace experience
- Active Driver's License
- Experience with soldering and able to obtain solder and harness assembly certification.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Ability to work with a Microsoft Office products and process documentation
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time frame to meet business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma, Certification, and/or License
- Active, In scope DoD Secret, Top Secret, PAR or SCI clearance
- Hands on experience with NGC, ALMDS Pod
- Flexibility to occasionally work off shifts and weekends when required
Salary Range: $64,700.00 - $107,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
