Electrician
Summary: The electrician is responsible for diverse tasks of new equipment deployment, expansion of current infrastructure, control, and maintenance of all electrical components on-site, ensuring a safe working environment, optimizing costs, deployment times, minimum facility, and component downtimes.
Essential Functions: This position is responsible for the following:
- Assistance in the general electrical design of the facility and all associated components
- Regular check-ups of all electrical components, including transformers, relays, switches, electric pumps, fans, AC units, and others, together with log creation for all checks made
- Assistance in the deployment, connections, and installations of new equipment
- Maintenance works on complete electrical infrastructure, including fault finding, component repair/replacement works, reporting, and logging
- Providing physical help to other crew members and teams
- Keeping a stock list of spare parts and components, updating it regularly
- Provisioning and maintaining general electrical health and safety procedures, signs, logs, etc.
Job Requirements:
- Electrical Journeyman's electrical license is preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of electrical maintenance
- Working in an industrial or commercial environment.
- Troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
- Knowledge of uses of electrical testing equipment.
- Must be able to read blueprints and CWDs.
- Knowledge of PLCs is a plus.
- Medium to low voltage.
- Must posses a valid driver's license and have a means of transportation to work
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat, noise, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The exposure will not be constant but could occupy a large amount of a person's time during the day.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing at times during the day. The employee may need to lift items of 50 lbs or less.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Journeyman electrician
- Electrical apprenticeship
- Technical College
- On-the-job training of 2 years instead of technical college
- Knowledge of HVAC is a plus
Notes: Candidates must be able to pass a background check.
Prior experience in cryptocurrency mining, basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, and heavy machinery operation (forklift-skylift) is a plus.
