Skilled Electrical Systems Technician /PLC Controls
Direct Hire $35.00-44.00 + 3000 Sign on Bonus
Prominent manufacturing firm looking for candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector, supplemented by education in electronics technology from sources such as trade school, military training, or apprenticeship programs. Proficiency in programming and a sound understanding of electrical controls and PLCs (preferably Allen Bradley) are essential. Familiarity with servos and robotics is also highly desirable. Candidates must be available to work night shifts.

Pay rate: $35-44/hr. + $3000 sign on bonus
Hours: 5:00pm-3:30am Monday-Thursday

This position is responsible for performing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting faulty electrical equipment, troubleshooting PLC and computer program problems, making required changes to programs as needed, assisting with projects that are predominantly controls/automation oriented, scanning and data collecting installations and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
* Proficient in wiring 480V 3-phase power systems, a fundamental skill for the role.
* Skilled in troubleshooting controls and relay logic to ensure efficient system operations.
* Capable of repairing industrial mechanical systems, including components like photo eyes, conveyors, gearboxes, proximity switches, and production equipment.
* Expertise in troubleshooting Electrical Systems, involving tasks such as reading wire diagrams, installing flow meters, starters, relays, and VFDs.
* Demonstrated ability to repair mechanical systems, covering elements like chains, sprockets, bearings, motors, seals, pumps, valves, and cylinders.
* Competent in conducting preventative maintenance, utilizing chart/data, PLC, SERVO, and other relevant methods.
* Proficient in reading and comprehending product manuals and mechanical drawings for accurate repairs, encompassing hydraulics, pneumatics, and schematics.
* Possesses 2-3 years of experience in Electro-Mechanical Automation System Installation & Troubleshooting.
* Demonstrates operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3-phase power, communication devices, and power transmission systems.
* Exhibits a solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Displays strong PLC troubleshooting skills, showcasing practical mechanical and electrical aptitude.
* Capable of reading and interpreting both electrical and mechanical drawings.
* Fully computer literate, with proficiency in the Microsoft environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and varying days per week.
* Proficient in using Plasma cutters and Mig welders.
Requirements:
At minimum, the candidate for the PLC Controls Technician must have:
* 5-7 years Industrial/manufacturing experience desired
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify errors and suggest corrections.
* Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
* A preferred background in Electronics Technology, gained through education in trade school, military service, apprenticeship, or similar programs.
* Demonstrated expertise in programming and essential knowledge of electrical controls, with a preference for experience with PLCs, especially Allen Bradley systems.
* Familiarity with servos and robotics in the context of industrial applications.
