Job Description
- Is available to assist shift production supervisors in the event of equipment malfunctions, electrical or mechanical.
- Communicate issues to shift production supervisors about potential and real equipment issues in such a way that breakdowns or disruptions can be avoided.
- Troubleshoots equipment or area issues promptly and is part of the solution and remedy.
- Follows guidelines for preventative maintenance of production or mechanical equipment.
- Communicate daily to the maintenance team regarding any issues during work shift
- Effectively completes work orders that are assigned promptly.
- Request parts needed for PM or WO and follow up on them.
- Properly document work performed on logs, reports, and/or worksheets.
- Maintains maintenance tools in good working condition and stores them properly when not in use.
- Maintains work area safely and cleanly.
- Performs special projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by any lead, supervisor, manager or other leader
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- English literacy, elementary level; strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; strong troubleshooting aptitude.
- 2-3 years of mechanic experience in a food manufacturing plant, electrical exp, preferred.
- GMP/HACCP Certification (in-house), sit-down & stand-up forklift certified, boom/scissor lift certified.
